Why do I get notifications from Google or entities when logged in with Puffin?

Puffin's cloud servers are located in the US and Singapore. As a result, websites will receive the IP address of our servers instead of your device.

Although Puffin passes your IP to websites via X-Forwarded-For, some websites do not support this standard and cannot accurately detect your region.

To ensure the login was initiated by you, compare your current Puffin server's IP address with the address provided in the notification email.
