Webapps versus Native Apps

Web apps are much smaller in size and consume less data versus conventional mobile apps.

During runtime, web apps on Puffin OS utilize data compression and resource caching through Puffin's Avatar Technology for efficient loading times and minimizing storage size.

The data usage patterns between web apps and native apps are very different.

Web apps save space due to their size and efficiency in using mobile data, while native apps save data if they just display local generated content.

This data saving advantage can be seen when using web content-oriented apps; e.g., Facebook and Twitter. Native apps have data saving advantages on static apps that don’t need Internet access, e.g., calculator or clock apps.
