Puffin OS web apps are built on HTML (as well as CSS and JavaScript), providing lighting-fast loading times, efficient data usage, and security.

Puffin OS can native Android apps for backward compatibility. However, we encourage developers to use open web standards to develop web apps in the long run.

During this transition period, Puffin OS will support select Android apps that do not offer web versions for the convenience of users.
