"This page isn't working"

If you're getting the "ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT" error instead of a webpage, Puffin Cloud Isolation is having problems loading.

Causes of ERR_TIMED_OUT Error Problem

  1. Your internet connection might be too slow, or you may be experiencing issues with your internet connection.
  2. The webpage might be too busy.
  3. The webpage may be down, or may have moved permanently to a new web address.
  4. In specific countries, some websites are completely blocked, either through a long-term standing ban or for more limited periods of time.
  5. The IP address from Puffin has been blocked by the website.

How to Fix & Solve ERR_TIMED_OUT Error Problem

Usually, you can reload the page to fix the error.

If that didn't work...

Step 1: Check your internet connection

Make sure your computer's connected to Wi-Fi or a wired network.

Step 2: Check if it is a web-side issue

Access the same website on your native browser. It should be a web-side issue if the same issue happens on it. Please contact the site owner to report the problem.

Step 3: Check if it is a geo-blocked issue

Test any site to see if it has been blocked in specific countries is to use a VPN. It should be a geo-blocked issue if you can access the website with another country's IP.

Step 4: Clear cookies and other site data

Clear your cookies and other site data

  1. Click the menu button on the bottom status bar.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Choose "cookies and other site data".
  4. Click the Clear data button.
  5. Try reloading the tab with the error.

Re-activate Puffin Cloud Isolation

  1. Click the menu button on the bottom status bar.
  2. Click Log out.
  3. Click Proceed.
  4. Re-activate app.
  5. Try accessing the website again.
